Not that anyone was really wondering, I'm sure.

I woke up yesterday morning in Guatemala City. I lunched in Dallas. I slept in my own apartment in San Francisco.

I'll have more about the vacation trip a little later. I was offline for the entire time, from December 16 through this morning. During that time, the only computer I touched was my sister's; we were packing her apartment in Jacaltenango, and I burned some CD's of her photos from her hard drive, because she was leaving the laptop behind. It wasn't online.

I think pretty much every year, I send at least one person Rebeccamas greetings right before the 25th. I didn't accomplish that in 2006. (Sorry, Rebecca.)

I don't think I've been offline this long since at least 1990. Counting dial-up BBS's before that, it may well have been even longer.

School starts a week from yesterday...
