So, wouldn't you know. I spent just over two weeks in Guatemala and Honduras, and then I come back to the United States to apparently eat something that didn't agree with me. Woke up throwing up Wednesday morning, continued that through the day, and am unsure just how I feel now, as Thursday is winding up.

However, it gave me a chance to crank up the grade-watching machinery. It can be combersome to get to the grade reporting site on the school's outsourced application. Among other things, it's not terribly well integrated with the uPortal derivative they're using for most parts. To make life easier during this process, I utilize the Reload Every Thunderbird add-on. I expose just the frame containing the grades, set Reload Every to reload the page every 5 minutes, and then just occasionally check to see if there are updates through the day. As grades come in, I can update my tracking spreadsheet to lend even more fun to the process.

This semester's a bit weird, though. I'm only getting two grades, and one (Evidence) came in right away when I checked this morning. Or was it yesterday morning? I no longer can remember where they split. It was good, not great. I had set as a goal getting As in the three required 4-unit classes. I failed to accomplish that. On the other hand, Evidence was 2/3 multiple choice, I knew I missed a chunk of the essay, and I wasn't the least bit confident leaving. I'll happily take the grade I got. My spreadsheet and some extrapolation suggests that an A- in Patent Law may bump me into the top 10%.

The other two classes I took (Evidence Advocacy and Advocate of the Year Competition) are credit/no credit. So, now I'm waiting on just the one grade. I don't really know what to expect from Patent Law. It was a week-long take-home, and I put an ungodly amount of time into it. On the other hand, I wasn't anywhere near as prepared for it as I would have been had I been taking it in a more constrained window. Time will tell.
